Exmouth
Exmouth is located a two and a half hour flight north of Perth and is situated on the eastern coast of the North West Cape of Western Australia. Exmouth serves as a gateway to Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Marine Park. Cape Range National Park is located 40 kilometres south from Exmouth. It boasts spectacular gorges, an array of wildlife and wildflowers in season. Four wheel drive tours depart from town.
Ningaloo Marine Park protects one of the major fringing coral reefs in the world. Ningaloo Reef is Western Australia's largest coral reef. It is home to approximately 250 species of coral and 520 species of fish. For a diver, there are few experiences that can compare to swimming on Ningaloo Reef. Dolphins, dugongs, manta rays, huge cod and sharks are all in abundance.

Bundegi Beach and Surfers Beach
Bundegie Beach, 14kms north of Exmouth marks the start of the Ningaloo Marine Park. Its a great beach for swimming, snorkelling and fishing from the jetty. Surfers Beach, also known as 'Dunes' is a reef break and surfing experience is recommended.
Murion Islands
A good place for diving and snorkelling, the Murion Islands offers tranquil beauty set amongst coral and abundant marine life.

With the continental shelf only 12kms off the coast, the North West Cape offers some excellent fishing. You can hire a boat or fish from the beach. Perhaps the best results could come from going on a professional charter. They operate daily from Exmouth. Some species you may expect to catch include North West Snapper, Blue Bone, Coral Trout or Red Emperor. Recognised as the premier game fishing area of Western Australia, species such as Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Spanish Mackeral and Sailfish are regularly caught.
Exmouth is a great base from which to join one of the many fabulous eco-tourism tours around the area. Exmouth is situated on the northern tip of the North West Cape which offers a number of nearby attractions. There is also a fantastic swimming beach at Pebbley Beach.
One the tip of the North West Cape is the Vlaming Head Lighthouse which has breathtaking views of the spectacular Coral Coast. There is also a shipwreck near here, which you can just about see poking out of the water. This is the SS Mildura which was beached on the North west Cape back in 1907.
There are a number of different tours around Exmouth where you get to see and do many different things. Activity safaris around the coastal landscape of Exmouth are available, while other operators offer eco-tours around the Coral Coast. From exmouth there are also diving courses, fishing charters, and Whale watching cruises.
There is a selection of accommodation in Exmouth, and several holiday resorts. There are also a number of restaurants around the town.
