Due to the sheer size of Western Australia, and Australia as a whole internal flights offers a great way of seeing 'more' in less time. The downside is that the vastness itself needs to be experienced first hand to truly appreciate the distances involved.

Cost of Internal Flights Within Australia

The cost of internal flights in Australia is comparitively expensive compared to other countries and have only recently been subject to change in the competition i.e. Virgin Blue and now JetStar who are both trying to reduce the trimmings of the service in order to get the price down. Generally though if you wish to fly to the more remote areas of Western Australia you will have to fly with the lesser known operators some of which are listed below. Indeed some of these more 'scenic' flights are the most impressive ways to view the terrain and coastline.

To and From Perth Airport

Perth Airport is a modern facility about half an hour away from the centre of Perth. The international and domestic terminals are easily accessible by car, taxi and bus.
